The early atmosphere of Earth may have been like the atmosphere of one of Saturn's Moons, Titan.

After all, Titan only gets about 1% the amount of sunlight we get here. And because it's so far away from the sun, it's obviously pretty cold. But Titan does have something that no other moon in the entire solar system has. And that's a thick atmosphere. One that's similar to what we think Earth's early atmosphere was like. And Titan's the only celestial body other than Earth known to have constant periods with liquid on its surface.

这种液体不是水,而是methane(甲烷)。

There was nothing systematic about Austen's reading, so most of her education was basically informal.

In fact, Austen's letters are filled with reports of what she and other members of her family were reading, along with her opinions of the books.

What we have in Jane Austen is a writer who was also avery engaged reader and whose reading definitely influenced what she wrote.

Austen's readers got an unconventional look at literary references, because within her novel, knowledge of books is continuous with other forms of knowledge.

There is a station, well, a computer actually, next to every printer now. You will need to go to the printing station, and you'll see a list of all the documents that people have sent to the printer, find your document on the list, click on it, and then it will print.

The internship is not really related to my studies, but it sounded interesting. And it's good to branch out, learn about new things in different areas.

Student

Oh, I heard about it on the radio. The participants were gonna be planting grasses and flowers and stuff for the new green roofs on campus.

Consultant

Green roofs?

Student

Yeah, they are basically gardens on the tops of buildings.

Consultant

Why, so students here can study plant growth or something?

Student

That's not what they said on the radio. They said the green roofs can lower the temperature inside the building, so you don't have to spend as much as air-conditioning.

Consultant

Oh, that's a good idea.

Student

Yeah, and also in a city, storm water runoff, you know, rain water that runs into sewers, and local lakes and rivers. This runoff apparently picks up a lot of pollution from the pavement, green roofs observe some of that rain, which reduces runoff, which in turn helps the water quality.

分论点一:大气中的氧气含量比较高(high level of oxygenin the atmosphere)
