Wow. Is the transportation office always so crowded? I stayed in line for half an hour to talk to you.

Employee

It’s always crazy at the beginning of the semester. Everyone’s here to apply for a parking permit. I assume that's why you are here. 

Student

Well, yeah. But while I was waiting, someone told me there was a shuttle bus that runs past my apartment off campus. If I can use the shuttle, I wouldn't have to try in getting a parking permit.

Employee

The shuttle bus is your best option. The waiting list for parking permits is really long, and there's no guarantee who will get one. Actually, the semester, boy, I've never seen so many permit applications. I guess there must be more students enrolled this year. I bet that's the reason it's so busy. It does seem there are a lot of people around.

Hmm. You are probably right. Uh, yeah. So this shuttle bus.
