总论点：鹿角(deer antlers)有三种作用

分论点一：用做热量散失(heat dissipate)，鹿角处血管丰富，可以在风吹过时带走热量。

分论点二：用做防御捕猎者，动物经常在头上长角(horns)来对抗捕猎者。

分论点三：用做显示在群体中的主导地位(dominance)，鹿角大则地位高，直接看鹿角就知道了而不需要格斗(fighting)。

听力主要观点提取

总论点：阅读内容虽然看起来可信，但实际上都存在问题。

分论点一：针对散热解释，指出鹿角在夏天过去很久之后仍然存在，甚至在秋冬越长越大，这不符合散热功能；并且指出，人们发现在热的地方，鹿角最小，而在冷的地方，鹿角最大，再一次与散热解释矛盾。

分论点二：针对防御解释，应该是雌鹿更应该长鹿角，因为要照看幼体(take care of the young)，结果只有雄鹿长；此外，发现鹿有其他方法防御捕猎者，例如发现狼身上的伤是由鹿脚踢伤的(kicking).

分论点三：针对显示主导地位的解释，其实鹿的地位不需要看鹿角，两只鹿碰面的时候会以平行线走来走去(walking up and down in parallel lines)，直到一方意识到另一方的主导地位转身走开；人们甚至发现是长着大尺寸鹿角的雄鹿转身走开了，所以鹿角和显示社会地位无关。
