1. 笔记是记录关键词,指的是某一部分讲的话题是哪个词,笔记不要记录太多阐述部分;
2. 笔记的关键词大多是名词,偶尔记录形容词是因为出现了描述特征,偶尔记录动词是因为有明显的动态特征;
3. 专业名词或术语记笔记,务必使用缩写,不可贪心记录全名,比如Emission Nebula笔记记成EN即可,Refelction Nebula笔记记成RN即可;
4. 举例一定写出符号e.g.,并把举的例子写在后面,举例永远考的是支撑的观点或信息;
5. 题目顺序是原文顺序保持一致,是托福听力做题永恒不变的做题原则,所以按照原文顺序出现的关键词或者关键词的同义替换去选择答案,就会大大提高做题的正确率;

Determining the Source of a Meteorite
The HED meteorites—short for howardite, eucrite, and diogerite—are a group of about 1,000 objects with a uniquely characteristic spectrum that is almost identical to that of Vesta, the largest body in the inner part of the asteroid belt.
选项
A. The HED meteorites are a group of about 1,000 objects that have nearly identical spectra.
B. The unique spectrum of the HED meteorites is almost the same as that of a large asteroid named Vesta.
C. The HED meteorites are a unique group of about 1,000 objects that along with Vesta make up the inner part of the asteroid belt.
D. The HED meteorites are found near Vesta, an unusually large body in the inner part of asteroid belt.

Which of the following best describes a quality that your parent or other family member help you develop?
- Self confidence
- Kindness
- Patience
Choose one of the above qualities and explain how parental family member helped you develop this quality. Use details and examples to support your answer.
1) People are often influenced subtly by their family in terms of characteristics and qualities. Self-confidence is one the of the most important traits that my mom helped me develop. Ever since I was little, my mom has always showed her respect and trust in me. She approved my advantages while giving me advices on my disadvantages instead of merely criticizing me. There was once when I signed up for a speech competition and I was so into practicing. Rather than worrying about me wasting too much time or believing it was not worth the effort, my mom helped me with my rehearsals and gave me great suggestions and I eventually won the second place. Surrounded by such a tolerating and positive environment, I gradually become this confident person as I am today.
2) As much as we were always told that kindness is the most respectful quality, it was my mom who actually help me developed it into a faith that I will keep throughout my life. There was once that she came to pick me up from my piano class and on our way back home an old lady stopped us and said that she came to visit her son but she lost all her money and was hoping that we can give her 20 yuan. I was already old enough to understand this could be a fraud but before I refuse her, my mom handed her the money. After she left I told my mom that she could be lying but what my mom said changed my thoughts. She said that as long as there is a chance others are in trouble, and as long as we have the ability to help, we should always do so.
3) As a physicist, my grandpa has always been my role model since I was little and I often ask him how can I become as successful as he is. His answer was very consistent: be patient. There was once that our teacher asked us to create a handcraft with iron wire and I was super excited about it. But five minutes later I started losing interest since it was so much harder and more boring than I thought so I asked help from my grandpa. Although he had no experience in such things either, he showed me how to research for small tips and skills to make handcrafts and practiced with me. After five hours of work and countless times of failure, we made a bicycle that won an A from my teacher. He taught me that be patient with difficulties and failures will eventually lead to success and I have carried that with me until now.
